The work includes but is not limited to replacing aging unitized emergency power distribution centers (PDC) and emergency power feeders with new equipment and moving Concourse D emergency power loads from feeder G3 (EF28) to feeder EF22. New emergency power distribution equipment will include a manual transfer switch allowing emergency loads to be fed from an alternate normal power source during maintenance activities. All new emergency power distribution equipment will be fed from the existing 4160V Russell emergency switchgear located in the Emergency Switchgear Room (MT-1411B-TR). Where new emergency equipment or feeder cables are installed, electrical rooms or equipment will be outfitted to provide NEC Article 700 mandated fire protection and separation from non-emergency electrical equipment. Locations include the North Terminal #1 Electrical Room (MT-1078-TR), North Terminal #2 Electrical Room (MT-1660-R), Concourse B Electrical Room (B-1110-TR), Concourse C Electrical Room (C-3145-R), Concourse D Electrical Room (D-3022-R), North Satellite Electrical Room (N-3099-R), and South Satellite Electrical Room (S-3108-R), as well as numerous cable vaults |
