This project is to completely rehabilitate the pump room at Fulton Street and make improvements to the pump room at Vesey Street on the Eighth Avenue Line in Manhattan. Both locations will have a fail-safe high water alarm, an intrusion alarm and a power transfer alarm able to interface with existing digitized system operated from the Sands Street Hydraulic Division headquarters. The Vesey Street pump room will have electrical and instrumentation improvements and new manifold connections to accommodate four-inch pump train connectors. The more comprehensive Fulton Street pump room rehabilitation includes, but is not limited to, the following elements. |
