In each power tunnel terminal area, work will consist of removing 600 to 640-feet of 12 inch round, 16-gage galvanized iron duct, old expansion joints, hangars and flanged fittings from underneath a removable catwalk and install new 12 inch round thin-wall ed PVC duct or equal, expansion joints, hangars and flanged fittings in the same location. Additional work will include chipping calcium and mineral deposit build up on the terminal area walls beneath each radial drain (4-5 per tunnel). |
