The project shall include, but is not limited to: 1. Replace deteriorated ties. Ballast will be added if required to achieve grade and new hardwood ties will be installed and compacted in place. 2. Remove substandard rail. Replace with new 115# rail. 3. Repair/Replace roadway crossings. 4. Other minor track maintenance including: switch adjustments, gauging of rail, spiking, bolt and/or hardware replacement, changing points, frogs, heel blocks, point protectors and welding/cutting rail. 5. All materials will be new and unused unless prior approval is obtained from the contracting officer. There will be no government provided materials. |
