Suspended Acoustic Ceiling for Workshop
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has experience using this type of ceiling in a woodworking shop. I have a new workshop approximately 21' X 30', and 10' from floor to ceiling. This will be used partly for storage but mostly for woodworking (not commercial). There will be times when it may be cold, or a bit damp, or both. I'm wondering about the practicality of a suspended ceiling in 2' x 4' panels with lay-in fluorescent light fixtures. I like this type of ceiling for ease of construction, type of lighting, and space above the ceiling to route electrical wiring. I doubt that the types of panels available at home building centers would be suitable. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any views or experience with this type of ceiling, for this application; the pros and cons, and some advice on specific brands of panels which would be suitable.
