Septic drain field
I am looking for some guidelines for septic tank drain fields, I have a prospective customer to replace his drain field, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, sink dishwasher and washing machine go thru a separate line, not going to the septic tank.
How long, how much and what size gravel, how much fall?
Thanks for any input.

Re: Septic drain field
Your best bet is to call the Building and Safety Department to get a perk test on your property. It's not how big or how many bathrooms you have; it's how fast the ground will saturate the water. Don't take a chance; get the low down from the city Building and safety dept.

You can't just slap one in the health department will draw it up and approve it for you. They will also require you to be licensed (probably) but for basic info check out: http://www.drainfield.us
good luck
