New plaster just finished; now need paint.
Should I prime and paint? Or, is there some particular sealer that is recommended? Thoughts? Ideas?

By the way, this is new construction. Contractor doesn't want to paint... that's where I come in. They want good paint. There is no carpet, trim, or fixtures to paint around...

Prime then paint. Otherwise you will likely have adhesion issues. To save time in my son’s room I skipped the prime part and now the walls chip too easily. If there is nothing to trim around then tape of the windows and use a sprayer.
