Gutter removal
I have an exterior project coming up this week where the customer would like their existing (but incomplete) gutters removed prior to painting so that it will allow me to patch and paint the areas underneath. They are planning on replacing them with one of those fancy deflector systems or something, but that's not my worry. I just need to get the old aluminum gutters down without doing much damage to the fascia.

Grumpy, I know this one is right up your alley. I'm no gutter guy, but removing a few small sections I don't mind doing so I can get the painting done. I could use your advice on the whole process of removal...

Re: Gutter removal
This isn't really rocket science, unscrew and drop the leaders, if it's a gutter that’s fastened with spikes, pull the spikes out and drop the gutter. If its gutters fastened with straps that go under the shingles, I’d try to lift the roof tab a little and cut the strap under the shingle a bit and Drop the gutter! Sounds simple don't it?
