Dormer construction?
Can someone guide me to a resource on dormer construction and how to erect a crop hip/Tudor hip when there is no gable brick wall to lay the plate out?

Not too sure what you mean by a Tudor Hip.

Do you have a sketch or photo I could take a look at?

Re: Dormer construction?
Well the best way to describe it would be:
A gable end wall with a small hip at the top.
Ill try to take a piccie of one I've just finished on a garage.
