Corbin locks
I have an old house built in the 1950"s with a corbin front door lock.
It has a lever handle on each side of the door and a dead bolt type lock
Problem: the handle keeps coming off in my hand because the double screw that holds the levers together and opens the latched part is stripped. It is a double screw with a square junction in the middle

Are there any replacement parts that would work?

Re: Corbin locks
I believe you are talking about what is known as the spindle in a mortise lock. The threads on the spindle, that hold the two handles together, can get worn out over the years. Corbin and Russ win made a lot of different locks and then merged.

If it is a common type of mortise lock, spindles are still made and may be available from a specialized hardware supplier or you local locksmith could very well order you something that would work.
