Basement Floor
Hi,

I am putting up a bathroom in the basement. I have the plumbing and electrical work done already. The only issue I am having is the floor not being leveled. The plumbers could not put in the toilet, sink, and shower stall unless it's level. If I use the floor leveler, it would raise the floor level and I may run into issues with installing the shower stall. I have a very low basement. Are there any alternatives to level the floor? Also, how much would it cost to hire a pro to level the floor for me?

Re: Basement Floor
How much out-of-level are we talking here. And I wonder why it is out of level?: Like is the new bathroom in the vicinity of the floor drain? I don't follow what you mean by having problems with the shower if the floor is leveled.

Re: Basement Floor
Thanks for your reply.

The concrete slab is the reason my basement floor is out of level. My basement is approximately 6 foot 5 inches in height. If I use the floor leveler mix to raise the floor, I fear that I may not have enough room for the standing shower as my basement floor is extremely out of level.

I would like to hire a pro to level the floor for me but not sure what the going rate is nowadays. My budget is very tight, I'd like to get an idea of what the cost may be. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
